About
Yueyang is an Honors College and Business Scholars student at the University of Illinois Chicago, pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Accounting with a minor in International Business. Originally from Pingree Grove, Illinois, and now residing in Westchester, Illinois, she demonstrates strong leadership through her involvement as a founding member and Director of Membership for Women in Finance, a member of the Executive Board of the Business Student Advisory Board, and as both an Honors Ambassador and Business Ambassador. She is passionate about mentorship, student engagement, and professional development.
Yueyang believes that student engagement and community service are important because they foster leadership, collaboration, and peer mentorship while strengthening a sense of belonging on campus. In her view, engaged students help create stronger and more supportive academic communities.
After graduation, she plans to attend graduate school to further develop her technical and analytical skills in accounting while pursuing CPA licensure. She aims to build a career in public accounting centered on ethical financial leadership, organizational support, and mentorship of future business professionals.
