About

Anvi Shevade is a second-year Honors College student at the University of Illinois Chicago, majoring in Integrated Health Studies with minors in Public Health and Biological Sciences on the pre-med track. Originally from Naperville, Illinois, she is highly involved on campus through organizations such as Undergraduate Student Government, Hindu Student Council, Students for St. Jude, UIC Model United Nations, and the Chicago Adaa dance team. Beyond campus, she contributes to research on UIC’s West Campus, volunteers with UI Health, and works as a certified nursing assistant. In her free time, Anvi enjoys going on morning runs, playing pickleball, and stargazing.

Anvi believes that student engagement and community service are essential for developing interpersonal skills and gaining meaningful experiences that support higher academic and extracurricular goals. She views UIC as an ideal environment to explore and refine both academic and professional aspirations, supported by its rigorous coursework, wide range of extracurricular opportunities, and strong network of career development resources with connections across the city and West Campus.

After graduation, Anvi plans to attend medical school and pursue a Master’s in Public Health, continuing her path toward a career in healthcare.
